The Digital Communities program is an initiative of the Center for Digital Government and Government Technology magazine and is especially designed to help local government professionals improve public service delivery through the efficient and effective use of information and communication technology. Digital States Performance Institute (DSPI)

The Digital States Performance Institute (DSPI) is not a place, but a community of interest around modernizing and improving government. The newly expanded DSPI builds on the successes of the bi-annual Digital States Survey with a year-round program of ongoing original research, analysis and tools in the strategic planning process through regional events, Webinars, online communities or panels, and - of course - a Twitter feed. All of it is intended to extend the value of the Digital States benchmarks through the documentation and sharing of best and emerging practices by states that are committed to meeting today's needs and tomorrow's expectations.
