A Mulligan for Performance Measures and Management: States of Transition
The Center for Digital Government welcomes senior state executives from Arkansas, Missouri and Oregon to discuss the state of performance and measurement in their states. As methodologies mature, existing measures have been held up to increased scrutiny -- some have past muster and others have been found wanting. A number of states and localities find themselves regrouping and taking a fresh look at integrating performance, accountability, and transparency into state IT programs, service delivery channels and internal operations.

The Digital States Performance Institute (DSPI) and the Digital Communities program jointly presented a special webinar for and about state and local government and the New National Broadband Plan on Tuesday, September 22nd. Hear from Eugene J. Huang, Director of Government Operations with the FCC's National Broadband Task Force, at a crucial moment in the process of gathering perspectives on how to get broadband strategy right -- the task force will have only 148 days left to prepare the report as of the date of the webinar. It is also an opportunity for the Task Force to hear from you on the local and state government issues and concerns in the planning and deployment of this vital public infrastructure.
