Surveys and Awards

Digital States Survey

The Digital States Survey, conducted biannually in even years, is a comprehensive study that examines best practices, policies and progress made by state governments in their use of digital technologies to better serve their citizens and streamline operations. The survey is conducted approximately April - June (2010, 2012, etc.). The awards are presented during the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) annual conference each September.

  2010 Digital States Survey Announced!

Cathilea Robinett and the Center for Digital Government and its Digital States Performance Institute invite your participation in the Digital States Survey, the nation's original and only continuous survey of state government use of IT.

The 2010 Digital States Survey is now underway and located at: www.centerdigitalgov.com/2010States.

Submissions are due online Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

At the conclusion of the survey, responses will be compiled and states receiving high grades will be honored at a special awards ceremony hosted by the Center for Digital Government held concurrently with the NASCIO annual conference. Additionally, leading states will be profiled in Government Technology magazine, in reports from the Center, in our corporate publications and on our websites. Information sharing is available to participating states.
