The Cybersecurity Leadership and Innovation Award program recognizes the commitment of government agencies to keep confidential data secure despite evolving threats.
The Best of California Awards program salutes IT professionals and projects in California state and local government organizations and educational institutions. The awards presentation is held at the annual "GTC" (Government Technology Conference) West. All government and educational organizations in California are invited to submit nominations. The Digital Counties Survey is conducted in partnership with the National Association of Counties (NACo) annually in the spring: March - April. All U.S. counties are invited to participate (consolidated county-city jurisdictions are invited to participate in the Digital Cities Survey in the summer). The awards are presented during NACO's annual conference each July. (For the website competition itself, please see the Best of the Web Awards Program.)
The Best Fit Integrator Recognition Awards is the Center's award program for government to recognize its private sector partners, those companies who work closely with government to tailor solutions to suit the unique needs of government. Nominations are made by the public sector each spring in March - May. An awards banquet is held in conjunction with the Center’s Industry Summit each summer.
The Digital States Survey, conducted biannually in even years, is a comprehensive study that examines best practices, policies and progress made by state governments in their use of digital technologies to better serve their citizens and streamline operations. The survey is conducted approximately April - June (2010, 2012, etc.) The awards are presented during the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) annual conference in September. The Digital Government Achievement Awards (DGAA) recognize outstanding agency and department Web sites and projects at the application and infrastructure level. ALL United States and international GOVERNMENT AGENCIES - all levels and all countries - may enter their actively functioning, fully operational applications and projects. The contest is held concurrently with the Best of the Web Awards (BOW) contest which has recognized excellence of official Web portals of United States cities, counties and states for the past 15 years. In 2011, nominations for BOW and DGAA can be made April 1 - June 1. Starting in 2012, nominations for both contests can be made March 1 – May 1 annually. The winners' workshop and awards presentation gala are held each September.
The Best of New York Awards program salutes IT professionals and projects in New York state and local government organizations and educational institutions at the annual "GTC" (Government Technology Conference) East event. All government and educational organizations in New York are invited to submit nominations in May - June. The awards are presented at the event held each September.
The Digital Cities Survey is conducted annually in the summer: July - August. All United States cities, towns, villages and consolidated city/county governments with populations of 30,000 or greater are invited to participate in this survey. The awards are presented concurrently with the National League of Cities (NLC) conference held each November. (For the website competition itself, please see the Best of the Web Awards Program.)
The Best of Texas Awards program salutes IT professionals and projects in Texas state and local government organizations and educational institutions at the annual "GTC" (Government Technology Conference) Southwest event. All government and educational organizations in Texas are invited to submit nominations each March. The awards are presented at the event held annually in June.
